Connor Keeran is an artist based in the Coachella Valley whose work engages geology, craft, memory, and form. Rooted in the desert landscape of his upbringing, Keeran uses handbuilding techniques and locally sourced materials—rocks, sand, found clay and eroded fragments—to create ceramic works that evoke the region’s four surrounding mountain ranges and sedimentary histories. These tactile pieces bring the geologic into dialogue with the personal, transforming environmental residue into sculptural form. His process embraces experimentation, producing surfaces that appear excavated, rugged, burnt and sublimely organic. His work offers scaled perspectives on place and time, inviting viewers to consider the intimate poetics of natural processes.
Keeran recived his BA in Visual&Public Art from Califorina State Univeristy Monterey Bay in 2022. He also works as an Art teacher in the coachella valley.
